McCarthy Family Estate Vineyard has created an exceptional, small production Cabernet Sauvignon. Nestled in the foothills above Los Gatos, McCarthy Family Estate Vineyard encompasses six acres of dry farmed, organically grown vineyards, with a desired southwest exposure, on a steep, naturally draining slope, which continues the historical growing of Cabernet grapes in the Santa Cruz Mountain Appellation, and more specifically the Jesuits growing Cabernet Sauvignon grapes over 100 years ago on their contiguous parcel.
McCarthy Cabernet Sauvignon is dark garnet in color, with notes of black cherry. On the palate, there are earthy notes of tobacco, cedar, and black cherry. This wine is medium to full bodied with firm tannins, nice structure and a long complex finish.
